Soothing Hot-Springs and Wonderful Flowers

This winter, the Taipei City Government will for the third time stage the annual Hot-Spring and Bloom Festival, a colorful happening combining the beautiful flowers of the city with the pleasures of bathing in the healing waters of hot springs. There will be a lot of opportunities to visit various flower exhibitions, watch interesting cultural performances, and enjoy the marvelous feeling of relaxing in steaming hot-spring pools.

Festival activities will take place from October through April, beginning with the Taipei Hot Spring Season centered on Taipei City's Beitou District. Next up is the flower season, which includes five different events --the Shilin Official Residence Chrysanthemum Exhibition, the Taipei Flower Exhibition, the Flower Center Tea Flower Exhibition, the Yangmingshan Flower Season, and finally the Zhuzihu Calla Lily Season. Throughout the winter and the early spring a colorful feast of flowers will be waiting for you!


2005 Taipei Flower Season

During the winter, Taipei becomes a "City of Flowers". The city government has been very active in beautifying the environment for the pleasure of residents and visitors, and during this season flower arrangements in parks and along the streets will make the city even prettier. Flower art and rare flowers can be seen at the various flower exhibitions organized during this time. And once spring arrives, the thick bloom of cherry blossoms and azaleas will be reason enough to pay the mountains of Yangmingshan a visit.

Taipei Blooms and Springs

Location : Taipei City

An annual event which joins the hot springs of Beitou and flowery seasons of Yangmingshan, Blooms and Springs is a series events that combines local industry, cultural art and tourism sightseeing. There is the "Taipei Seasons of Hot Springs" in October, the "Shirlin Daisy Show" at the late President Chiang Kai-sheks Residence on 12th to 25th of November, the "Taipei Flower Show" from this December to January, the "Yang Ming Shan Flower Festival" during February and March, 2005, and the "Calla-lily Flower Show" which takes place next March and Aril. Those who love nature, flowers and hot springs simply cannot miss this romantic with Blooms and Springs.
